Well it is kinda ironic how the profile competition ended up as a 3 way draw between an Oom, lil'Oom and DoS. So here is the dilemma, we want one winner so how do we pick the winner?
1. should I split the prize 3 ways
2. should we leave the poll open for another week
3. or should we have a race off
Now the 1st option is the boring option where as the 3rd option we know who would probably be the winner. This leaves us with option 2 but we know there is not a lot of voters, hence the dilemma. So how about some suggestions....
Now normally I would only chat about Oom or lil’Oom tracks since this is the Oom website but while I was picking my brain for a track to write about this week I remembered a track I played on only last night by Sponge and in my honest opinion this is one of his better designs. You can download the track Clicking Here or play it on the Oom TA server.
At the same time I also don’t want to not chat about a Oom track so I picked one of Oom Gummi’s tracks which I also played last night and it is by far one of the most interesting tracks I have played in a while (yeah I don’t get out much)...
In my honest opinion... you have to try this track!!!

I have added this so you guys can practise the maps before taking us on ... just kidding but the tracks are available for download from this forum. I will put new tracks on regularly so keep your eyes on that forum. One of my favourite tracks and our feature track for the week or maybe even month (this depends on how soon I come up with a new news topic) is from Ghost named YowYow and it is posted in the forum so give it a go. Just to make your mouth water I am adding this screenshot of the track...
The cleanup process has started and, all inactive accounts will be deleted from the website. I know I know, we do not have many registered users but rather have active registered users than nothing.
I am also glad to announce that we have another 2 lil’Oom members, speedy and top speed. I am sure you have seen them around and if not you will just see their rec’s
I have also been informed that some new tracks will be added to the server to cater for the tarmac lovers. Oh and watch out for those skins coming to the server soon... um... I think...
One other exciting thing happening is the profile comp on our site... HA!! Gotcha... none of the ooms know about this. The most popular profile will receive a 1000 coppers prize so ladies and gents get cracking on updating your profiles. You can vote for the best profile in the polls section of the website, but only once I have set it up. NB there will be 3 active polls so make sure you vote in all 3. From the 3 polls a winner will be selected of each to compete in the final pole for the prize of the 1000 coppers.
It’s been a while since my last posting but then again it is also not as if I have a huge audience... We do seem to have drawn advertising from WOW who feels the best place to advertise their cheats on sale is the Oom website in the comments section of each news article. You won’t see these cause I do tend to delete them as soon as they appear. Just to put their mind at ease NONE OFF US PLAY WOW (well I hope not anyway, and if you do please leave your resignation letter at the desk on your way out) and with your annoying advertising I will never want to play WOW...
Down to the serious stuff, we have had a number of suggestions that we should look at alternative games where we could play as a clan. Post your suggestions on the forum in the new games thread. So if you have tried a new game and you think it is worth the money and it could be enjoyed by the clan as a clan game then post your suggestion in the forums.
A clean up of inactive registered users will be done this weekend. All users that have not been active in the last 3 months will be deleted. I will however make sure I mail the users prior to just deleting their accounts. I do hope we can get some new life into the website as well so if you have some stories, suggestions or even just updated photos please post them here. Well I know I will read it so it won’t be such a waste of your time
With Easter weekend coming up there might be more action than normal from the Oom team and I am led to believe the lil’Oom team as well. If you are going away for Easter and we don’t see you online, please be safe and enjoy the holiday. I on the other hand will put my creative skills to the test and see if I can make some tracks for our servers. I will try to stay away from making dirt tracks though (I just know how much you love my long dirt tracks). We have the need for some stadium tracks just to give ol’bob “klompie” builder a run for his money when it comes to building tracks.
